BIOGRAPHY

Since graduating ‘Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design’ in Jerusalem, I design and handcraft, while remaining loyal to the traditional ancient methods of creation – 22 Karat gold jewelry, inlaid with precious stones. Trying to cover different outlooks, researching ancient culture’s designs and techniques. My work is based on creating individual pieces within a theme, which then form part of a collection. Mostly inspired by nature, organic shapes and architectural motifs. My pieces reflect particular attention to surface and texture details.

Few years ago I was introduced to, and studied the hand felt creating method. Since then, out of my Tel Aviv studio I design and create both in metal and in felt. Each piece is carefully hand crafted and designed. My work has been widely displayed in individual and group exhibitions, competitions of art & design and in galleries and museums.

I was born and educated in Jerusalem.

In 1985 I Graduated with B.A, at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem, following studies at the Middlesex Polytechnic Academy in London ancient techniques.

In 1990 I established my own private studio and went on to teach Jewelry design and techniques at Meimed Institute, Tel Aviv.

In 2000, I was honored to be elected as the first and only jewelry studio to appear in a ‘Marie Claire’ Magazine article on architecture and design and in the same year I was one of the 72 finalists from 17 countries in the 1st international Tahitian Pearl Trophy jewelry design competition. Felt hand making is a more recent art form I have embarked on and in 2001 I studied with a professional textile designer, a member of the North American Fiber Association in Upstate New York, and later with a member of the International Felt making Association in Scotland.
